Tropical Storm Khanun's Impact on Korean Peninsula Following Japan Landfall
Tropical storm khanun made landfall on the southern coast of South Korea on August 10.
over 14000 the number of people evacuated from flood-hit areas in South Korea.

The country sweltered through an extreme heat wave before khanun’s arrival.
Hundreds of scouts had to be treated for heat-related ailments.
37,000 scouts were moved to safer accommodation as their campsite lay in the path of the storm.
North Korea has ordered its military to prepare for flood – mitigation procedures and salvage crops.

Khanun was downgraded from typhoon status after it lashed southern Japan on August 3.
