John eastman e-mailed
John eastman e-mailed your legal counsel stating i implore you to consider one more relatively minor violation of the electoral count act and adjourn for ten days to allow aa thorough forensic investigation of the enormous quantity of unlawful activity that has taken place here.
Mike Said;
That, in my opinion, is wholly false and goes against american history, our constitution, and the laws of this nation.
I honestly dismissed the idea out of hand the first time i heard the rumor that, in my capacity as vice president, i had the power to invalidate ballots in order to rig the election.
The country’s founding fathers had just defeated a king in an independence war.as a student of american history, i was certain that the founders would never have given the vice president or anyone else the power to unilaterally select which electoral college votes should count and which shouldn’t.
I was explicit on that — i was clear with president trump all the way up until january 6th morning. Let’s be clear about this. They had not requested a pause.
In his horde of crackheads, the president explicitly asked me. Lawyers begged me to physically reject votes, which would have resulted in the issue being turned over to the house of representatives and absolute chaos. In order for others to read the indictment. As i’ve previously stated, i hope it doesn’t come to this. I’m not sure if the government can fulfill the burden of proof for criminal charges beyond a reasonable doubt.but the american people have a right to know that president trump and his advisers did not simply ask me to take a break. They requested that i reject ballots and return votes. Basically, overturn the election. That i refused outright, and i went about my business that day.
